Small evergreen trees for patio's and front entrance waysSmall evergreen trees do not have to be small trees producing
needles, all evergreen means is that the tree stays green all year
round. Varieties include blue moss cypress, white cedar bonsai tree,
blue spruce, Japanese black pine, red heather, boxwood all trees are
ideal for a patio. Some produce flowers like the
Andromeda Tree Most poplar evergreen trees. Cypress trees are one of the favorite ornamental trees to grow because of their tiny pine cones. and then it would be bonsai pine tree and then juniper trees. . All of these are outdoor evergreens that can grow, there is no limit small and large sizes from a few inches to as big as 4 feet
The difference between a white pine which has a needle cluster of five around each bud, where the red or black pine have clusters of two and some times three.
This is a holly tree that is very popular around christmas time.
You will notice that these outdoor evergreen trees are grown in pots. This is to control the root growth so that they stay miniature. They will grow larger outdoors if they are planted in the ground without the container. However you may want to keep them this way and just replant them in a larger container.
