Display
stands - Are you ready to show off your all the hard work you put into
your new hobby. These display tables and stands are just what you
need and will fit right into your other furniture styles and home
decor.
bonsai tree
tool sets - It is very hard to shape a bonsai tree into an exact
miniature tree if you do not have the proper tools to do it with. You
can damage roots, branches and impair proper growth with out them. There
are the right tools for every hobby or art and growing bonsai trees is
no exception.
Chinese
pottery - bonsai pots - I like to buy chinese pottery because it blends in well
with my patio decorations and there is a wider selection in
shapes. Japanese pottery and mica pots are just as nice and may
suit your needs better. It all depends on your surrounding
furnishings and decor.
plant grow
lights - Certain plants require that in order to thrive, they need a
plant grow light to help it along. One of the lights we recommend is
operated by a computer, which has a timer that turns the lamp on and
off, simulating the length of day in cycle with the seasons. It also has
a soil moisture sensor that lets you know whether it requires watering
or not.
bonsai fertilizer - Plants growing in the ground outdoors can search for the nourishment
they need. If their immediate area lacks needed nutrients, the roots
will
branch into outer areas. This is not want you want for your house
plants or bonsai plants or trees. Because they are confined to a
pot; once the nutrients in the potting mix are gone, the plant is
stranded. This is why you replenish these nutrients by applying fertilizer.
bonsai soil - Potting mix is the all-important ingredient for healthy plants. It
forms the medium in which plants live and grow; it provides the initial
nutrients plants need; and it permits moisture retention while allowing
any excess water to drain away.
humidity drip trays
- For all plants, it is important to have a humidity tray. They are the
finishing touch to your bonsai tree or plant. With the exception of the
artificial ones, it only makes sense to have a humidity drip tray with each
tree. They look nice, catch water drips and enhance the rooms decor in
which you have placed your plant or tree.
bonsai books - We
have chosen these not just because they are good sources of information but
can be kept for a long time. Soft covered books don't last as long or do
they tend to stick around that long. It just seems that soft covered books
are not taken care of, as well as hard-covered ones and we wanted to make
sure you got good value for your money.
Bonsai wire comes in a variety of diameters. It is usually brown
anodized aluminum and is copper in color. The wiring is re-useable so a
roll of it goes a long way. It is softer than copper so it is less
likely to hurt the tree. It is usually available in 1.0mm diameter to
5.0mm and every 0.5 mm in between. The coil length will vary depending
on the diameters.

Bonsai tree tools.
- As your hobby progresses you may decide to add other bonsai equipment
like knob
cutters, branch benders, wire holders and different kinds of
scissors for doing different types of trimming. People that really get
into this art form usually add angle grinders for carving, machines
for fine curving and clamps. This are not really needed but they do
special jobs very neatly, you will not use them all that often
either. Branch benders will be needed to slowly bend thicker
branches.
